This new worldwide health crisis that is currently the deciding factor in much of our daily routine, Covid-19. We are now approaching daily life as we once knew it  with a whole new perspective and some new hygiene habits. 

Our major concern here at Cottontail Headquarters is our cloth nappy sanitisation procedures. It is important to understand the difference between cleaning and sanitising. Cleaning requires soap and clean, warm water to remove dirt and debris. Sanitising on the other hand requires bacteria-killing substances like bleach.

During our sanitisation process our nappies are washed according to Australian Laundry Standards ASO4146, using a combination of chemical and thermal systems. 

The chemical sanitisation system is used to ensure all human proteins, grease, dirt, bacteria and viruses are destroyed with the use of a natural bleaching agent. This natural bleach agent is a biodegradable green cleaner, widely used in hospitals and aged care facilities.

The thermal sanitisation system is used to facilitate the activation of our natural bleach agent at a temperature over 65 degrees, and after, with the process of using commercial dryers.

Our standards exceedingly meets the healthcare and childcare industry, bringing sanitised cloth nappies to the wide community of Childcare Centres on the coast.
